Events and partnerships report

Where the client should show up, scored against who actually buys. This sample is the first Events & Partnerships pack: delivered on day 1, covering a rolling 90 to 180 day window so registration and CFP deadlines are never missed. Identifying names and commercial figures are masked as X.

Scroll the report. Lavender arrows mark each of the 9 sections in a finished pack. Public sources only. Nothing is registered without a yes.

Two or three moves this month

Section 1 of 9

Executive summary

Three moves are worth acting on this month. Together they stay inside a lean six-month ceiling and put the client in rooms where tracked competitors are not.

  • Apply to the owner-operator retreat (Nashville, Mar 15 to 17). Applications close Oct 21. It is capped at a small cohort of founders and executives from brands and operators. Public marketplace data on that community matches the client's buyers. We found none of the tracked competitors connected to it. Ask about partner membership too, because it can waive the listed seat fee (figures masked).
  • Treat the large Las Vegas logistics show as a meetings trip. Do not buy a booth. Two Gold-sponsor competitors and several other tracked vendors are already on the floor. Bring two people on discounted early-stage passes, book meetings with operator attendees before the show, and host a small dinner for owners.
  • Pitch a practitioner association session with a customer leading it. The call for sessions closes Oct 2. The association only accepts vendor proposals when a practitioner is the lead presenter. A live-customer billing or quoting result fits that rule. The deadline is tight, so this only works if the customer says yes in time.

Also recommended: walk the floor at the marketplace-seller show in Las Vegas on Mar 2 to 3. Many operators exhibit there to win marketplace sellers, so the owners are standing at their booths. Pitch four podcasts, starting with the highest-fit operator show. Start partner conversations with the matching marketplace and an alt-carrier network. Skip the warehouse-association booth, the enterprise supply-chain conference, the retail/brand show, and a materials-handling booth this cycle. Reasons sit in Section 2.

Event shortlist with deadlines

Section 2 of 9

Event shortlist

Ranked by fit score. Fit means evidence that owners and finance or sales leaders in the client's ICP attend. Dates and listed prices were checked against live public pages. Figures stay X.

EventDate / locationCostFitEvidenceDeadlinesCall
Owner-operator logistics retreat Mar 15 to 17, 2027
Nashville, TN
X per person; waived for partner members 5 Capped founder and executive cohort from brands, operators, and partners. Past cohorts included known operator brands. Public data: most operators on that marketplace are owner-operated, which matches the ICP. Applications open Sep 27
Final deadline Oct 21
Cohort announced Nov 10
APPLY
Large logistics conference (Las Vegas) Feb 8 to 10, 2027
Las Vegas
All-access list price X; early-stage pass discounted 4 Thousands of attendees including shippers, startups, and investors. Operators attend, but the crowd skews enterprise. Densest cluster of tracked competitors in this window. Pass price rises closer to the event; register by Oct 31 REGISTER (no booth)
Marketplace-seller show Mar 2 to 3, 2027
Las Vegas
Pass price not published; group discount for small teams 4 In the prior year, a large logistics and fulfillment exhibitor list sat in one category. Those operators exhibit to win marketplace sellers, so the owners are at their booths. Two tracked shipping vendors exhibited. Registration open; register by Dec 15 REGISTER
Warehouse-practitioner session (run at a materials-handling show) Apr 19 to 21, 2027, Chicago, or May 16 to 19, Charlotte Free to speak 3 Practitioner audience. The association rejects sales pitches and needs a practitioner as lead presenter. A customer-led results session gives credibility a booth cannot buy. Call closes Oct 2, 2026; final materials due Mar 12, 2027 PITCH (with customer)
Warehouse association convention May 2 to 4, 2027
Puerto Rico
Prior-cycle booth and sponsorship rates: X 3 Most attendees are directors, VPs, or C-suite, and most return every year. Mix leans contract and B2B warehousing more than parcel. Two WMS vendors ran sessions in the prior cycle. Member priority ended mid-October in the prior cycle; confirm the next date PASS (revisit next cycle)
Operator value-creation summit Oct 13 to 15, 2026
Chicago
Not published 3 C-level operators plus PE and bankers. Fits consolidation and embedded-finance content, but it is less than three weeks away and pricing is unknown. Imminent WATCH (next year)
Materials-handling show (attendee only) Apr 19 to 21, 2027
Chicago
Free registration 2 Heavy automation and material-handling floor. A tracked vendor is attending. Only worth the trip if the practitioner session is accepted. Tied to the session decision IF SESSION
Retail / brand show Mar 22 to 24, 2027
Las Vegas
Startup pass X; exhibitor ticket X 2 Buyers here are retailers and brands, not the client's operators. A tracked shipping vendor exhibits. n/a PASS
Enterprise supply-chain conference Oct 4 to 7, 2026
Nashville
Not checked 1 Enterprise planners, and it starts in days. n/a PASS

Outside the window but worth planning for: the core small-parcel forum in September 2027. The client attended in 2026, and most parcel-spend competitors exhibit or speak there (Section 6). Budget recommendation lands in the next quarterly pack.

Podcast and show shortlist

Section 3 of 9

Podcast and show shortlist

Chosen because guests and listeners are operators in the ICP. Shows owned by tracked competitors are excluded.

ShowAudience fit evidenceTypical guestSuggested angleFit
Operator warehouse show (weekly) Long-running weekly show with a high public rating. Recent guests include operator leaders. Operator executives and warehouse-tech founders Where operator margin actually leaks: billing lag, unbilled markup, and slow quotes. A marketplace index found signed deals went to operators that quoted inside a week. Avoid an angle a competitor already covered. 5
Association-produced operator show Official show of the warehouse association. Guests are operator CEOs and presidents, including family-owned shops. CEOs of member operators Pricing discipline for owner-run shops: invoicing faster and passing carrier increases through. Gets the client in front of association members without paying for a booth. 4
Founder-operator interview show Twice a month. Guests are mainly operator founders, not vendors. Operator founders Spokesperson founder story (operator years, then building the product). Format fits. Do not name the prior companies in public copy without a check. 4
Operator-hosted growth show The host runs an operator, so the host is a buyer. Conversations focus on growing the business. Entrepreneurs and operators Scaling without adding back-office headcount (hours saved stay X). 3
Parcel-adjacent vendor show Parcel topics, but the host company sells overlapping tools. No recent episode in the check window. Parcel and tech leaders Hold. Confirm the show is still active and how much the host overlaps before pitching. 2

Sponsorships and community

Section 4 of 9

Sponsorship and community options

OptionCostExpected reachRecommendation
Retreat organizer, industry partner membership Not published; ask via the retreat sponsor contact Brands and operators on that marketplace; free retreat seat; co-branded data Ask before the retreat deadline. Best match we found between price and audience.
Hosted owners dinner at the Las Vegas logistics show X 10 to 12 invited owners and finance leaders Yes. Counter-program to competitors' Gold sponsorships, and it gives the meeting pitch a hook.
Operator vendor directory Pay-per-click or monthly tiers (figures masked) Thousands of operators in the network Try pay-per-click for 60 days, then upgrade only if clicks turn into demos.
Warehouse association partner membership Not checked; unlocks member booth rates Mostly senior warehouse leaders Wait. Pitch the podcast first and reconsider for the next convention cycle.
Local operator roundtable (hosted) X Local e-commerce operators; a regional association roundtable is active nearby Optional. Host a quarterly breakfast at the client's office. Cheapest pipeline source here.

Partner and co-marketing

Section 5 of 9

Partner and co-marketing candidates

These sell to the same operators without competing on the client's core motion. Overlap in each row still needs a check before outreach. Vendor names stay masked.

CandidateWhat they doWhy it fitsOverlap riskFirst move
Matching marketplace Matches brands to operators; publishes a demand index Its data shows operators that quote inside a week win signed deals, which is the client's speed-to-quote story. Low Propose a co-published speed-to-quote benchmark and a partner referral offer for its operators.
Alt-carrier network Alternative-carrier access; publishes a carrier benchmark The client already writes about that benchmark. The network lists several WMS integrations, but not the client. Low to medium Ask to be listed as a platform partner and to co-market alt-carrier margin analysis.
Operator matching directory Matching plus a vendor directory Reaches thousands of operators who can redeem member-only vendor offers. Low Create a listing with an offer such as a free leakage audit.
Operator real-estate advisory (runs a founder show) Advisory plus the founder-operator podcast Operators deciding whether to expand are also rethinking pricing and margin. None Pitch the podcast, then co-write a piece on expansion economics.
WMS vendors without native margin tools Operator WMS platforms The client sits on top of the WMS rather than replacing it, so it can be an add-on in their marketplaces. Check each billing module Confirm billing overlap, then apply to their integration marketplaces.
Final-mile access vendor Gives operators access to many last-mile carriers through one relationship Carrier access pairs with the client's margin and billing layer. Medium to high: rate shopping may overlap a client product Watch only. Do not start co-marketing until positioning is clear.

Competitor event watch

Section 6 of 9

Competitor event watch

Where companies selling overlapping intelligence, billing, or shipping software to the same ICP are showing up. Every sighting is public. Social feeds were not monitored in this first edition, so the list comes from sponsor pages, agendas, company event pages, and press releases.

CompetitorEventsRolePublic evidenceRecommendation
Competitor A (shipping platform) Las Vegas logistics show; marketplace-seller show; small-parcel forum; retail show; other national retail floors Gold sponsor and exhibitor Sponsor page; exhibitor list; the vendor's own 2026 event list, which skipped the warehouse association Go, counter-program at the logistics show and the marketplace-seller show. This vendor sells shipping to brands; the client sells to the operators exhibiting beside it.
Competitor B Las Vegas logistics show; small-parcel forum Gold sponsor; exhibitor Sponsor and exhibitor lists Go to the logistics show, no booth.
Competitor C Small-parcel forum; own customer conference; Las Vegas logistics show Booth, a session, and a customer conference the day before at the same venue Press release plus sponsor list Plan for the next small-parcel forum. Copy the pre-show tactic with a small operator roundtable the evening before.
Competitor D (close comparison) Prior logistics show; small-parcel forum Staffed booth Vendor event post. Same buyer and a similar margin story, so buyers will compare the two. Expect them at the next logistics show. Prepare a one-line answer to how the client is different.
Competitor E (WMS with billing) Small-parcel forum; Las Vegas logistics show CEO session; Bronze sponsor Vendor events page; sponsor list Watch. Possible partner as well as competitor.
Competitors F / G (WMS) Warehouse association; Las Vegas logistics show Sessions on revenue optimization and data; Bronze sponsor / exhibitor Convention recap; sponsor list The association's revenue topic is taken by WMS vendors. Reach those members through the podcast, not a booth.
Competitor H National retail, logistics, grocery, materials-handling, and its own conference Attendee / exhibitor Vendor events page Skip the enterprise retail rooms. They are not operator rooms.
Competitor I Highest-fit operator podcast Guest on carrier diversification Episode page Pitch that show on billing and quoting instead.

What the pattern says: competitors concentrate at the large logistics show and the small-parcel forum, where they spend on sponsorships. We found no tracked competitor at the owner-operator retreat community, and Competitor A skipped the warehouse association in the last cycle. Those rooms are where the client can stand out on a lean budget.

Post-event debrief

Section 8 of 9

Post-event debriefs

Small-parcel forum, Sep 14 to 16, 2026. Thousands of attendees and a large exhibitor floor. The client's public recap says the team was there throughout.

  • What competitors did (public): Competitor C ran its own customer conference at the same resort the day before, then took a booth and a session. Competitor E's CEO spoke. Competitors B, D, and H were listed as present.
  • What showed up on stage: Carrier diversification, cost intelligence over cost cutting, and demand for unified billing and tracking. All three support the client's positioning.
  • What we still need from the client to finish this debrief: number of conversations, qualified operator leads, meetings booked since, total cost, and which competitor booths drew the most traffic. Those let us calculate cost per qualified lead and set the next-cycle budget.
